#1 - A new build... A new Blog... A new adventure!
This is the first post of my road to speed. I've recently finished building my Rocket 3 motor, had it tuned, and made more power than I expected to. Meet Mufasa, my street ridden Rocket 3.
Fast forward a couple of days, and the idea of Land Speed Racing arrived on my lap, courtesy of some fellow speed addicts. I mulled it over for a few days, and decided, yes, indeed I do want to take a crack at setting a land speed record!
Working on the tech and safety requirement research now, selecting parts and pieces to optimize the bike for going absurdly fast for a very large "cruiser".
The reactions I've had from all the vendors whom I've reached out to thus far has been absolutely fantastic, and currently, I'm working on some potential sponsors. I am going to do this, the question is how austere is my time at the salt going to be and how much is it going to tax my finances.
Here is the first part I've selected to add to meet tech and safety, an NHK ODM3000E. It should do the trick for keeping the big bike in shape and extreme speeds (I've already had it above the Salt Flats world record on asphalt without a damper, so I'm not super concerned with stability at speed).
Here's a video of Mufasa being tuned and tested in street trim on 92 octane:
Finally, to close this out, I am working with these as my fuel options, trying to pick which one is the best fit for my motor. I have my suspicions, but, we'll see when it gets strapped on the Dyno again with "Spec" fuel to test with, starred fuels are those I'm inclined to use:
ERC 110K
* ERC MUL/C
* ERC A-19A
ERC A-8D
For anyone following, I have no update schedule planned, I'll update as I go. I apologize in advance for my engrish and writing style haha.
